Cheap push pins

I "ASSumed all push pins were the same. I planned to make micro miniature chess men from these and they were made so cheaply that they would not work for my purpose. I am sure however that as far as the job they were deigned to do, they would be fine.

not as beefy as you think

Before I bought these, I thought the two negative reviews of the 3/8" pins were overly picky, but now that I wasted $6, I agree with them. These cheap ones are just not as good as the Moore pins. I wish I could post pictures, because I bent about 10 of the Advantus pins, trying to get them to go into a wooden window molding (the Moore ones I bought locally went right in, no problem). The "pin" seems to be much softer and weaker metal than the Moore brand pins, the head is smaller, and some of the pins are made crooked. Acceptable only for soft corkboard, if you don't mind your hands getting dirty when the finish comes off on your fingers, which it will.

They're pushpins...

Okay, they work. Amazon's shipping was atrocious. Little tiny box of pushpins shipped inside an enormous box. The pushpins got loose inside - the box sounded like a half empty box of Fruit Loops when I shook it.

There you go. Strong, sharp and pretty. The pin part is longer than I expected, too. Not a big deal, as I am just using them for the bulletin board for the most part, but maybe a good thing for someone with other intentions.
