Nice lamp, terrible switch

As others have posted, this is a great lamp on a computer desk because it can be adjusted so you will not see any glare from it on your monitor screen. The gooseneck is long enough to allow a focused beam or a flood of light depending on how high you have the lamp head. It's ruggedly made and of high quality materials. The one poor thing about it is the switch. It's very hard to activate and made even worse by the rubber boot covering it. You can't just push the switch with your thumb, you have to reach around the base with your fingers while pushing with your thumb in order to give enough pressure to activate the switch. I will likely be changing that switch out for a rocker or toggle switch if I can get into the base. I recommend it for computer desk applications but can also see how it would make a great work light requiring a focused beam.

Good implementation, but not so great light

I found this lamp as very good assembled with high quality. But i think the light is not so good for office desks. The light spot has explicitly defined borders and shadow circle in the middle of this spot.
