Great chair but missing parts, a little wonky to setupReview by SeattleRob, 2010-08-04
Used Herman Miller at work for years so I thought I'd by one for home use. The assembly instructions were clear and straight forward. however the screw that mounts the clip that holds the lumbar support adjustment cable snapped in half while screwing it in. I had to disassemble the seat to get to it and then work it out of the chair back with vise grips and a saw. Luckily I did not damage the chair in any way. Later I find this is a common problem after searching the web and talking to friends. The other issue was the lumbar support pad that the cable controls was missing from the shipment. Bummer! I sent the BackStore an email through Amazon, hopefully they will resolve the issue soon.
The chair itself is as I expected it from what I have seen in the past, good fit and finish and quite comfortable for long periods of time. Would have given this a 5 star rating but for the missing parts and the assembly malfunction due to a sub standard screw. At a $1000.00, I would expect a better experience.
Still the Best Office Chair

I've used the same chair at work for over a decade, with a "tune-up" from Herman Miller after about 7 years under warranty from the manufacturer.
This new one is a great chair and an excellent price.
