This file cabinet is an excellent value. It's a handsome and functional piece of furniture. It does take time to assemble (leave a couple of hours) but it's worth it for the beauty. The 3 small drawers make for versatility, helpful for a home office when you don't keep a huge quantity of actual files. (Hint: the file drawer requires hanging file folders because it has no actual bottom.) I love it.

Overall this is a good piece, solid wood, functional and good look. But a few things I do not like:
1. positions of pre-drilled holes are far from bing accurate.
2. Even though packing seems good, some parts were chipped.
3. No bottom on the file drawer, which is kind of awkward feeling.
4. Mechanism connecting parts is not the best at all, simply wood screws in the working.
Customer service is very good. Quick part replacement.

The quality was good. The directions to put it together was a nightmare, nothihg was labeled only a picture. I never expected the bottom drawer not to have a bottom, sides, or back! I expected at least one drawer to lock. If it werent so much trouble to take apart I would send it back! Maybe I can remake the bottom drawer and use it for something else. It wont work for a file cabinet for me.

A very well made piece of furniture crafted of solid wood. The price is a bargain. The kit is easily assembled from well drawn instructions. The holes are all pre-drilled. One thing that will make the task go a little more smoothly is if you carefully start the screw several turns in and out again before you assemble the piece. This will assure that your screw lines up perfectly perpendicular and goes in easily. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase!
Very Impressive

Although I ordered this yesterday, it arrived today already. The packaging was superior, with each piece wrapped in foam. You have to understand when purchasing this that you are buying a kit, but a very well put together kit. Everything was present. The wood is solid, except for plywood on the shelf bottoms and where expected with solid furniture. The directions were simple, and they pre-drilled everything so that the screws went in easily. It took about an hour, but I really enjoyed building it, and didn't encounter any problems.
This is really top quality and I already purchased several other items.
